Upon arriving in Lemont around 2 PM, I was surprised to find a crew attempting to de-ice the crossing still. They appeared to be having some difficulty. Nothing has yet moved on the north main today, which is the track they are working on. |

BNSF 5268, a C44-9W, kicks up snow as it heads eastbound through Lemont on December 1st, 2006. The night before, a storm system, whose clouds can be seen breaking up overhead, dumped about 12 inches of snow on the ground, causing many school cancellations, including my own. :-) |
